This Privacy Policy explains how Castor Hub UK, a trading name of Express Matting Services Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit castorhub.co.uk, place an order or contact us. We are the data controller for this information under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Information we collect
- Order details: your name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number, the products you buy and your order history.
- Payment details: handled by Shopify's checkout and our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Account details: if you create an account, your login email and saved addresses.
- Messages: what you send us by email, phone, WhatsApp or the contact and quote forms, including photos of castors or equipment.
- Website use: device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed and basket activity, collected through cookies. See our Cookie Policy.

Who we share it with
We only share your information with service providers who help us run our business:
- Shopify, which hosts our website and checkout.
- Payment providers, including Shopify Payments and Klarna if you choose it.
- Delivery carriers, who receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your order.
- Email and IT providers, and our accountants.
We may also share information where the law requires it. We never sell your personal information.
International transfers
Some providers, including Shopify, may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards approved under UK law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep order and invoice records for 6 years to meet UK tax law. Messages and quote requests are kept for up to 2 years. Account details are kept until you close your account. Marketing consent records are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You have the right to access your information, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, email sales@castorhub.co.uk. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Security
Our website and checkout use encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Access to customer information is limited to staff who need it to handle your order.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
