How to choose a replacement wheel

Three measurements decide whether a wheel fits your existing castor, bracket or trolley.

1

Match the size

Measure the wheel diameter and the tread width of the wheel you are replacing. Every listing states both in its size option.

2

Match the bore and hub

The bore is the hole the axle passes through; the hub length must fit between the bracket legs. Check both against the listing before you order.

3

Pick the tread for the floor

  • Rubber — quiet, grips and protects finished floors
  • Polyurethane — heavy loads with easy rolling on concrete
  • Nylon — hard-wearing on smooth floors
  • Phenolic — high-temperature areas
  • Anti-static — electronics and ESD areas

Wheel questions

Quick answers to what buyers ask most.

Can I replace just the wheel?

Yes. Our wheels are sold as wheel only, with the diameter, tread width, bore and hub length listed, so you can swap a worn wheel in an existing bracket.

What does the load rating mean?

It is the load one wheel is rated to carry. Divide the total weight by one fewer than the number of wheels fitted, so each wheel is rated above the share it may have to take on an uneven floor.

Do I need a new axle?

Use the bore size to match your existing axle. If you need a new bracket or axle, see our wheel brackets & axles.

Do you supply wheels in sets or bulk?

Yes — add the quantity you need to your basket, or send us the list on WhatsApp or by email and we will quote for the whole order.
